How to Pull Together a Tablescape or Centerpiece on the Fly

Instructions

1. Select a theme, mood or main color.
2. Add a tablecloth as your "canvas."
3. For a tablescape, layer textures and coordinating colors through placemats or chargers, dinner and salad plates.
4. For a centerpiece, select a main item such as a ceramic, mini-painting or other object.
5. Add either flowers or plants for color and shape interest.
6. Add height with an object, vase or candlestick.
7. Add interesting color and thematic knick-knacks or details.
